Cassandra Beltran, MSW, LCSW-C

Cassandra is a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinician (LCSW-C).

Cassandra has experience working with individuals and families in both an inpatient and outpatient setting.   She has experience with individuals on the autism spectrum, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, psychosis, substance use, and trauma.   Cassandra understands that mental health presents in a wide array of symptoms, and each client has their own unique presentation and barriers. She believes meeting a patient where they are at is crucial to building rapport and a lasting therapeutic relationship.

Cassandra utilizes different strategies from various theories, including client-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and CBT. Cassandra believes that trauma-informed care and psychoeducation for the client as well as their support system is extremely important in the therapeutic process. Cassandra strives to create an environment of trust and open communications so all clients feel comfortable and ready to engage. She focuses on client involvement in their treatment plan and challenges her clients to identify thinking patterns that can be problematic. Cassandra believes direct communication and encouragement towards independent thinking are vital to a client’s overall success.

Cassandra received her Bachelors in Psychology from Mount St. Mary’s University and her Masters in Social Work from Catholic University of America.
